Located on the beautiful Rothesay harbour just minutes from Rothesay centre, the Isle of Bute Seasports Club (IBSC) encourages, promotes and facilitates water sports for everyone on the Isle of Bute. Make new friends, learn new skills, and check out the stunning views of the Victorian paradise from a new perspective. The club runs regular social events and has a small bar for members and visitors. Sailing & Rowing takes place on Sunday afternoons.
Our friendly community is comprised of people of all ages and experience levels. There’s something for everyone, whether you’re an aspiring, intermediate, or professional sailor.
First time on the water? No problem! Club boats are available for members to use, including sail dinghies and the 5 person rowing skiff.
We have social events, racing events, and leisurely picnic outings in the summer. We also participate in the annual Regatta and Rothesay Raft Race.
The Isle of Bute Seasports Club encourages, promotes and facilitates water sports for everyone on the Isle of Bute regardless of age, gender, race, sexual orientation, disability or creed.
Rothesay Bay is sheltered from the harsh winds and waves, mmaking it an excellent location to learn how to sail. Our rescue boats will be on patrol in case anyone needs extra assistance.
Not only does Seasports keep you fit, it’s also a great way to explore the beautiful Isle of Bute from an entirely different angle. Best of all, membership costs less than a trip to the movie theater.
